Abstract:

We apply the hybrid multispin Monte Carlo method to calculate the properties for artificial dipole ice on hexagonal and Cairo lattices. The method is based on combining a random selection of a set of spins (cluster) using the Monte Carlo with complete enumeration of all states of the selected cluster. The method works only for Ising models with a restricted radius of interaction. In addition, the method makes it possible to bring spin systems to the ground state at low temperatures.
