Structure evolution of metals and alloys under deformation in Bridgeman anvils
Authors:
Abstract:
Stage development of the structure has been established in the study of metals and alloys, in which mainly one of the following structure-forming processes develops upon deformation in Bridgman anvils: work hardening, dynamic recovery, pressure-induced phase transformation, twinning, and dynamic recrystallization. The influence of these processes on the formation of a homogeneous submicrocrystalline structure and the refinement of its elements has been shown.
