Drawing design

Figures are designed as separate files (format .tiff, .bmp, .jpeg) with captions, placed in the main text next to the first reference to them, as well as uploaded to the electronic edition (in a previously created archive folder) in the ‘Archive of related materials’ field. Figures are numbered in the order in which they are mentioned in the text.

Latin symbols denoting physical quantities and mathematical variables are typed in italics (x, y, z, e, k, Q, U, W, etc.); Greek symbols - in straight type (α, β, ρ, η, φ, etc.). Figures on the axes of the graphs are straight lines, the decimal separator for an article in English is a dot, for an article in Russian - a comma. The dimensions of physical quantities are also printed in straight type.

Figures should be clear and labelling on the figures should be clearly legible.

Each figure must have a caption (always placed below the figure, outside the figure margin) clearly stating its content. All symbols, curves, axes, etc. must be clearly described in the figure caption.
