        <p>The paper deals with problems which solution is necessary to provide maximal lifetime of electrodes for alternating current plasma torches. Investigation of erosion resistance of various materials intended for electrode production is represented in the paper. The experimental data obtained in the course of the long-time lifetime testing of the plasma torches are reported.</p>
