The approach that connects the discrete mechanical description of the system of atoms and continuum description based on the rod theory has been proposed. A model of graphene crystal lattice was proposed. The interatomic bonds simulated with linear elastic cylindrical rods. The parameters of the model that correspond to the graphene crystal lattice were determined.
