Abstract:

This paper presents the investigation of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) molecules self-organization at the glass substrate, which is used as a micellar template in the synthesis of metal nanonetworks. These nanonetworks can be used as an active substance of gas sensors for detection of toxic gases. The free surface energy of glass which is used in the work as a substrate, and the free energy of the glass-CTAB interface are calculated.
