Scintillation properties of optical ceramics based on zinc oxide

ZnO and ZnO : Ga optical ceramics have been fabricated by uniaxial hot pressing technique and their scintillating and luminescent properties have been investigated. ZnO optical ceramics exhibits a fast 13 ns and a slow 1.6 us decay constants. ZnO : Ga ceramics possesses scintillating decay constant of 0.7 ns.
