        <p>The article presents an algorithm and a theoretical justification for the method of finding the damping coefficients on the base of vibration surveys using the frequency domain decomposition (FDD) method. This method is used for monitoring the structures such as buildings, bridges, dams, to determine experimentally their state (under operating conditions) without application of vibroexciters.</p>
