        <p>Some different circuits for measurement of breakdown current through dielectric films have been analyzed and a notion for shunting discharge current in a capacitor measuring cell flowing along the breakdown canal was introduced. A circuitry for measurement of breakdown current was put forward. It permits one to work out the shunting current and the breakdown canal resistance using the results of measurements of pulse parameters of breakdown current.</p>
