The dipole moments of cellobiosein dilute dimethylacetamide and aqueous solutions have been studied. The influence of the temperature and the nature of a solvent on a value of the molecular dipole moment of cellobiose were determined. The obtained data clarify the effects of hydrogen bonds on the molecular conformation of cellobiose and on the structure of solvates.
